I see you.
Those of you surviving paycheck to paycheck with no safety nets, juggling between multiple responsibilities; who have to put your personal dreams on hold because you need to take care of your family; who can’t afford to fail because there’s just too much at stake, thus risk-taking is not an option; who have been walking in a long, dark tunnel and can’t seem to see the light yet;
who’ve done your best but somehow still feels like it’s never enough, making you wonder if maybe you’re not destined for great things; who always blame yourself when things go wrong; who have so many things to unload but choose to keep them in because you don’t want to bother people with your burdens; who feel so, so tired you don’t even know how much longer you can hold on…
…I see you. It’s okay to feel down, to cry once in a while, but please don’t lose hope. The world may seem bleak right now, it’s like there are these constant storm clouds hovering above you. I know, I see you. But you’ve made it this far. Despite all of those obstacles life has thrown at you, you kept going.
You’ve. Made. It. This. Far.
That’s not nothing. You should give yourself some credit. Pat yourself on the back, give yourself a high five. I see you, you precious human being you. You’ve done so great. But I hate to break it to you that you still have to walk down the tunnel—heck, sometimes you’ll probably even have to run. It’s okay, take it one day at a time. I promise better things are coming your way. It will all be worth it.
Hang in there. It’s just a phase, it’s not forever.
