Nothing special happened today. It was rather uneventful, I guess, just like any other days before this. Ever since the world has been in a pandemic mode, I feel like my days went by so quickly. TOO quickly. The train moves faster than usual.
I started the day at 5:00 AM. After doing a morning prayer, I opened my laptop to assign today’s tasks for the writer's team. I had a morning work schedule today, so yeah. But then my lazy ass fell back to sleep and didn’t wake up until 7:30 AM. This time I was really awake so I immediately opened the company’s CMS to work. Yes, still in my ~daster buluk~ while curling myself under a blanket. Ah, the perks of working from home. I took a shower at around 9.30 AM then returned to work at 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
One work done, one more to go.
Okay, I want to share something. Earlier this year, four of my friends and I started a digital content agency called Daun Putih. It’s still very small, but thankfully we have attracted a few clients. So, aside from my primary job, I also work on some client projects with Daun Putih. The deadlines can be frustrating sometimes, but thank God they are still manageable. In fact, today I managed to deliver articles to a client right on time! I celebrated this little achievement by chilling out—and by chilling out I meant laying my back down on the bed while scrolling through my phone. HEHE.
Since I still have a morning work schedule until next week, by 7:00 PM today I already sat again in front of my laptop, preparing for tomorrow’s assignment. At 9:00 PM I had a conference call with Daun Putih peeps until around 10:00 PM, then I wrote this blog post down for today’s writing challenge.
Wow, now that I’m breaking it down, I actually did quite a lot of things today. Great job, self. You’ve done well. Now take a rest and go to bed, yeah? Tomorrow we’ll start again. The train will still keep moving—it always will—so you have no choice but to keep up with it.
