When I learned about today’s writing topic, one thing immediately popped into my mind: good sense of humor.
But what kind of humor that is considered good though?
Well, that’s really subjective, obviously, and that’s why I need to spend time with a person before I can tell if their sense of humor matches mine or not.
Also, the thing about spending time with someone is that I get to find out if we share the same wavelength—which is another way to win my heart. However, that doesn’t mean we always have to agree on everything. Two human beings can’t be 100% the same after all. Just because you hate something I like, doesn’t mean we can’t be compatible. The key is acknowledging differences. Don’t judge what you can’t understand.
Decency, kindness, and empathy are also no brainer. I always try to treat others the way I want to be treated. Of course no human being is perfect, sometimes we may say or do something we don’t mean that unintentionally hurt other people. That’s where decency, kindness, and empathy come in, they’ll knock some sense into our heads, make us acknowledge our mistakes, and take responsibility.
What about the look?
I’m not saying that’s unimportant. But I just think that as we get older, when we don’t look as good as we were younger, at least the joy of sharing jokes and having good conversations with each other will still remain. That's why it's important for me to be with someone who just... connects. Right now I still have no clue about who’s going to share all of those with me, but I’m looking forward to finding out.
